Welcome to Orange County Math Circle

OCMC Where Math and Service Meet

The Orange County Math Circle is a student-run, nonprofit community service organization where high school students gather to explore advanced problem solving topics and teach motivated students in underserved schools in Orange County.  By integrating learning and teaching, students take part in serving the community in strengthening math culture and making resources accessible to all who want to learn.

The Orange County Math Circle was founded in 2007 by math enthusiast Johnny Li (St. Margaret's Episcopal School, Class of 2011) to bring his experience from San Diego Math Circle to share with more students in his hometown.  Please read Orange County Math Circle: Where Math & Service Meet by Johnny Li, an article published in the March/April 2011 issue of Imagine, a national magazine by Johns Hopkins University for precollege students or Orange County Math Circle, A Service Learning Project by Dr. Michelle Muratori of Johns Hopkins University to learn more about our history.
